Event Details

In honor of Mother’s Day, we’ve put together a chocolate and tea pairing with our Chief Chocophile, Lauren, and her mom, Marcie.
Our guided chocolate tasting provides an opportunity to taste and compare chocolate made with cacao from different parts of the world while learning about craft chocolate and cacao farming and production. During our guided tasting you will learn to use all five senses to enjoy and discover the flavor profiles of chocolate from five different cacao-growing regions, and to compare them with a childhood favorite. We will explore the rise of the artisan bean-to-bar and craft chocolate movements, and how cacao varietal, fermentation and production techniques influence the quality of chocolate. Our tasting ends with fun, sweet treats.
Chocolate pairs well with many things, but one of our favorite pairings is fine tea. The experience of tasting a fine oolong or a unique assam with chocolate is a revelatory experience for even those who think they know tea and chocolate.
This 2-hour tasting event begins with a guided chocolate tasting and follows with a tea and chocolate pairing of two of our favorite teas, an oolong and a black tea. Each guest will take home a 4-piece truffle box, a 1-ounce bag of tea and a tea tasting cup from our tea partner, CC FineTea.
