At Mullinax our Lincoln Franchise was started in 1964. The Mullinax Family's good name in the car business started long before this. Just after World War II, Charlie Mullinax started wholesaling cars to pick up extra income for his family. Along with the help of his two sons, wife, daughters, and a cousin and lots of good employees he quickly grew in the retail business. Capital Motors name was used for 3 preowned lots in Cleveland and Chattanooga. The family soon acquired a Lincoln Mercury Franchise, Toyota Franchise and a Cadillac Olds Franchise. Today, the Lincoln Franchise is the only new car dealership in the family. This Brand was very special to the family.
