Formally known as “Crash Course in Digital Photography” this is the gold standard for a one-day complete photography class.

Event Details

This class has been the start and reboot for thousands of photographers over the last 5 years. Updated and changed with every iteration this class will provide  new photographers with all the essentials for improving their photography. Shutter speeds, apertures, ISO, exposure, focusing, lighting and composition - students will walk away filled with ideas and inspiration.
This class is designed to be the perfect training session for the beginning photographer. Whether you’re the owner of a new digital SLR or an enthusiast that desires to learn all the fundamentals properly, this class will put all students on firm ground for advancing their photography. This class with introduce students to all the basic principles of photography including:

Depth of Field – What it is, and how you can use it to make better photos.
Lenses – How to get the most out of what you have.
Exposure - Get it right in the field without any fuss.
Focus – Learn the many ways in how focus is affected and how to take control of it.
Shutter Speeds – Master the skill of choosing the perfect shutter speed for any situation.

In addition to the technical, the class will also explore the artistic side of photography covering topics such as light, composition, point of view and subject placement. Students can expect clear and thoughtful explanations with a wide variety of photographic examples from all seven continents.
This class will run from 9 am - 5 pm with a one hour lunch break.
Attendees should bring their camera, with charged battery, memory card and camera manual (optional).
About John Greengo: 
John Greengo is a professional photographer that has more than 20 years of experience as well as a degree in photography from Oregon State University. He is a member of the “Travels to the Edge” TV field crew and has been assisting and working with Art Wolfe around the world for the last several years.
Minimum 5 registered students required for class to be held. 

This workshop has limited seating, as a result registration is required for each attendee, if you are planning to bring a guest, please register for them as well.
