Event Description
More than ever, women are disrupting the status quo by educating themselves on topics that used to be reserved for old men in suits. If investing isn't one of those topics, I don't know what is!
By popular demand, and as a follow up to my Women & Money : Investing 101 course, this workshop goes into detail on investments of another type, individual stocks! Individual stock investing isn't for everyone, but if you have a portfolio of mutual funds, and are interested in learning about an alternative that could potentially increase your returns, this workshop is the perfect place to explore this exciting topic. Index funds are a great way to invest in a low-risk, diversified way. Individual stock investing is for those who want to beat the returns of the market, and who have an inherent interest in learning more about investing.
In this workshop we will cover what you need to know about individual stock investing including:

what are individual stocks and how are they different than mutual funds
why invest in individual stocks
how to invest in individual stocks
how to track performance
how to choose companies to invest in

If you've been investing in mutual funds and you're interested in learning something new that could increase your potential for higher returns, this workshop is for you!
